Permire Issue of The Brides of North Texas

The Brides of North Texas issue comes out this month and it's FABULOUS! You may remember me mentioning it in this post. Ashley and Kami did such an amazing job putting it together. My sister modeled for the magazine and I got to help out on set. I have to say I could not be more proud of her and the photographers David and Luke Edmonson are fantastic. To check out the video watch below or visit their site to view more of the magazine and additional videos: http://www.bridesofnorthtexas.com/gown-shoot-edmonson-weddings.

long time no see... or blog in this case :)

Well let me just tell you, its been the longest two weeks of my life! But hey, thats good because we could all use a little more chaos in our life, right? haha, I kid. But really its been adventurous. First, I went to San Francisco to take a class, it was fabulous. Second, I went to Market in Dallas with my sister Ashleigh. My family is opening up a business in Oklahoma City. (Stay tuned for updates on what and where!) Now let me just tell you a few little facts about my trip to San Fran.

One. I could hear the city streets at night in the apartment. The ringing of the sirens and construction workers along with the zooming cars, now that will put you to sleep.
Two. I have been to San Francisco twice now and I have yet to have the seen the Golden Gate Bridge... I know I'm a slacker. I can only imagine how cool it looks... but there just wasn't any time. Bummer.
Three. I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how people drive on the hills! I mean seriously in Full House they look pretty steep but in person its like Mount Everest! Ok maybe I'm exaggerating, but let's be honest, all I have to compare it to is the flat plains of Oklahoma :)
Four. Bloomingdales. Oh My Goodness, Bloomingdales. It was like a moment in shopaholic. Floors upon floors of delicious goodies. But I'm sad to report, no souvenirs. But hey its always fun to window shop!
Five. I felt an Earthquake! I was on the 7th floor of the apartment and the room kinda moved. My thought was 'Wow the construction workers really must have dropped something heavy to make it reach all the way up here!" and it wasn't until later that day the newscaster reported a 6.5 earthquake across the bay and I put the two together.
Now with that said, on a more serious note, I am lucky that the earthquake wasn't disastrous but unfortunately the earthquake in Haiti was. I pray that we will all come together and extend our hand in whatever we can do as we would hope others would do for us. I believe in the power of prayer and if you are ten years old reading my blog saying.. 'hum what can I really do?' Take a minute and send a prayer. It goes a long way.

Now because I just wrote five million words and you're probably asking 'com'on Caroline where are the pictures!' Well, let me share a picture of the view from the balcony of the apartment. I promise more pictures in the next post!
