The Good Ol' Days

Remember the days back when 4th and 5th graders didn't have cell phones? When the only way you knew it was time to go home was when it got dark out side.. AND of course you'd wait till the last minute, so you'd race back on your bike with your siblings and neighborhood friends hoping not to be late... Remember that friend in elementary school that you spent every possible minute with? Well I'd like you to meet mine, Grace. Over the years, between going to different schools and both of us moving from the neighborhood, we had lost touch. A few weeks ago though, I received a text message from her asking if I would get a few pictures of her, saying she had seen some of my work on facebook and she just needed one... Well we got quite a few more than that! Probably because I just kept shooting the whole time we talked about the good ol' days! From the instant we started talking it was like we were old friends again and hadn't skipped a beat. We chatted about old memories, college, and plans for the future.

Grace, is definitely a force to be reckoned with. This summer she is going to Guatemala for a medical internship. She will be assisting in mobile medical clinics and translating between physicians and patients for 6 weeks. I definitely pray that you will have a safe journey Grace!

  1. How fun that you guys got to re-connect. A true friend can always just pick back up and be right where they left off. I hope her internship trip goes safe and well :)
